Zayed International Airport Flight Delays and Cancellations

On Tuesday, April 15, the UAE encountered its heaviest rainfall in 75 years, affecting flights to and from the country. Airport services experienced disruptions, prompting airlines to postpone, cancel, and divert numerous flights. With ongoing repair initiatives and improving weather conditions on Wednesday, some flights and UAE hubs have resumed operations.

Operations at Zayed International Airport (AUH) have returned to normal, albeit with some delays in arrivals, as per the airport’s live tracker. Etihad Airways, the UAE’s flag carrier operating from AUH, has resumed all flight operations.

Etihad Airways experienced flight delays on April 16 and 17 due to heavy rainfall in Abu Dhabi. The airline cautioned that some flights might still face disruptions. Passengers were advised to visit the airline’s website to verify the status of their flights and departure times.
