Dubai Airport Updates: Flight Changes and Passenger Services at DXB
Last updated on May 28, 2026
Passengers travelling through Dubai International Airport can currently access several airport facilities as operations gradually stabilise. However, some airlines continue to adjust their flight schedules.
Airport Services Update
Lounges
Premium lounges remain open at the airport. Ahlan Lounge facilities are operating in Concourse A, B and C. Plaza Premium Lounge and Marhaba Lounge are also welcoming passengers.
Ahlan First Class Lounge at Terminal 1 is temporarily not operational. Guests may alternatively book the Business Class Lounge, which remains fully operational.
Meet & Assist
The Ahlan Meet & Assist service is available across all terminals to assist arriving, departing and transit passengers.
Shower Facilities
Showers are available at Concourse A and Concourse B and can be booked in advance. Passengers visiting the Ahlan Lounges can use the showers free of charge with their lounge access.
Health Club
The DXB Health Club (gym, pool, jacuzzi and steam room) located in Concourse B has re-opened on 20th May 2026, after a temporary closure.
Transit Hotel
The Dubai International Hotel continues to operate normally for transit passengers.
Dubai Airport Flights Update
Passengers planning to travel through Dubai International Airport (DXB) should prepare for continued disruptions, as several international airlines remain suspended.
Current regulations allow foreign carriers to operate only one daily round-trip to Dubai until May 31. As a result, many airlines have reduced operations or temporarily halted services. Meanwhile, Emirates and flydubai continue to run limited but active schedules.
Emirates Flights Update
Emirates has announced an interim schedule update for May 1–15, 2026, resuming flights to 16 destinations including Adelaide, Algiers, Bahrain, Beirut, Brisbane, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Muscat, Osaka, and more.
The airline is now operating around 77% of its planned schedule compared to earlier forecasts. However, services to Baghdad, Basra, Tehran, and the Male–Colombo sector remain suspended, with further changes still possible.
Airline suspension overview:
Through May:
British Airways, Singapore Airlines, Korean Air, Royal Air Maroc, Cebu Pacific, and Lufthansa Group airlines (including SWISS, Austrian Airlines, and ITA Airways)
Through June:
Cathay Pacific (until June 30), Aegean Airlines (until June 29), KLM (until June 14)
Beyond June:
Air Canada (suspended until September), while airBaltic and Eurowings have paused services until October
Other airlines impacted:
Philippine Airlines has extended the suspension of its Manila–Dubai flights until August 2, 2026, citing ongoing security concerns and unpredictable airspace conditions in the Middle East. The airline said passenger safety remains its top priority amid restricted airspace and sudden route changes. Affected travellers can rebook flights at no extra cost, convert tickets into travel credits with a 20% bonus, or request full refunds. Despite the Dubai suspension, PAL confirmed that its Riyadh flights continue to operate normally for now.
Air France, Finnair, Pegasus Airlines, SunExpress, and Wizz Air, which currently shows no Dubai-bound flights
Passengers are advised to check their airline’s website and confirm their flight status before travelling.
