Wizz Air is set to introduce its first long-haul flight, connecting Milan and Abu Dhabi starting June 2, 2024. The daily service will use the new Airbus A321XLR, with flights departing Milan Malpensa Airport at 10:25 am and arriving at Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport at 7 pm. Return flights will leave Abu Dhabi at 8 pm, landing in Milan at 1:20 am.
Tamara Vallois, Head of Commercial at Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, highlighted that this new route complements recent expansions to Chisinau and Cluj and offers affordable fares and sustainable travel options. Nathalie Jongma, Vice-President of Aviation Development at Abu Dhabi Airports, noted the A321XLR’s capability for longer direct flights on narrow-body aircraft.
