Virgin Australia has announced new long-haul flights to Europe, offering Aussies affordable travel options starting in June 2025 through a partnership with Qatar Airways.
Travelers can now book flights from major Australian cities like Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth to destinations such as Paris, Rome, and London via Doha, with economy return fares starting at just $1,791.
The partnership, operated on Qatar Airways’ Boeing 777 aircraft, is expected to contribute $3 billion to the Australian economy over five years, pending regulatory approval.
Example fares:
- Perth to Paris: $1,791 return
- Sydney to London: $1,982 return
- Brisbane to Rome: $1,945 return
Eligible bookings made by January 20, 2025, will earn passengers up to 10,000 bonus Velocity Points for travel between June 21 and September 30.
Virgin Australia CEO Jayne Hrdlicka said the partnership brings “great competition, value, and choice” for Australians planning European holidays, especially for the 2025 summer season.
