Singapore Changi Airport secured the second position, reaffirming its excellence in airport services.
Hamad International Airport also secured accolades for the world’s best airport shopping and best airport in the Middle East, showcasing its commitment to providing a seamless and enjoyable travel experience. Notably, the airport’s integration of lifestyle and shopping facilities, such as the indoor garden Orchard, has contributed to its significant growth over the past decade.
With a remarkable 31 percent increase in passenger traffic in 2023, serving over 45 million passengers across 250 destinations, Hamad International Airport has solidified its position as a global aviation hub. Qatar Airways CEO Badr Mohammed Al Meer attributed this achievement to the dedication of the airport’s team and partners, emphasizing continuous investment in facilities and innovative retail and hospitality initiatives.
The top 20 airports in the world for 2024, as per Skytrax’s World Airport Awards, include renowned hubs like Seoul Incheon Airport, Tokyo Haneda Airport, and Dubai Airport. The survey, conducted between August 2023 and March 2024, gathered feedback from airport customers of over 100 nationalities, evaluating various aspects of their travel experience.
