Low-cost Indian airline Akasa Air has introduced direct flights from Mumbai, India, to Abu Dhabi, UAE, starting from July 2024. The new daily service began on 11 July, with flights departing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai at 5:05pm and arriving at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi at 6:50pm.
The return flights leave Abu Dhabi at 8:05pm and land in Mumbai at 1am (local time).
The airline aims to offer more affordable flight options between India and the UAE. “We are pleased to commence operations from Abu Dhabi, the fourth international destination on our rapidly growing global network,” said Akasa Air co-founder and Senior Vice President, International, Neelu Khatri. “The launch of daily direct flights connecting two prominent cities, Mumbai and Abu Dhabi, will provide affordable and convenient options for air travel on the route, and strengthen the air travel links between India and the UAE.”
