ayed International Airport has introduced a new sensory space designed to cater to passengers with sensory sensitivities, providing a calming environment for people of determination.
Located near Gate D43 in the corridor between D-Gates and C-Gates, the facility includes two interactive rooms equipped with bubble tubes, light displays, and soft furnishings. Open 24/7 and free for departing guests, the space offers a soothing retreat before flights.
This initiative aligns with the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower programme, launched in September by Abu Dhabi Airports and Etihad Airways, to support passengers requiring additional assistance. Similar enhancements, including stress relief lounges, have been introduced at Dubai International Airport.
