Flydubai Unveils New Business Class Lounge at DXB

Dubai-based carrier Flydubai has officially opened its new Business Class Lounge at Dubai International Airport (DXB), located in the Terminal 2 Departure area, beyond passport control and security lanes.

The newly inaugurated 900-square-meter lounge can accommodate over 200 passengers, offering a seamless experience for Business Class travelers. Notably, the boarding gate for Business Class passengers is integrated within the lounge, allowing passengers to board dedicated buses directly to their flights.

The lounge features a sleek glass façade that provides uninterrupted views of the tarmac and floods the space with natural light. Passengers can enjoy an array of facilities, including a selection of dining options, shower facilities, a prayer room, complimentary Wi-Fi, workstations, and multiple charging stations.

Drawing inspiration from the serene beauty of desert dunes, the lounge incorporates warm tones and minimalist aesthetics, complemented by design elements reminiscent of Dubai’s iconic skylines.

Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer at Flydubai, commented on the occasion:
“This year marks a significant milestone for Flydubai as we celebrate 15 years of operations. We extend our gratitude to the airport authorities for their support in bringing this beautifully designed space to life for our customers.”

The opening ceremony was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Major-General Obaid Muhair bin Suroor, Deputy Director-General of the General Directorate of Residence and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), and Major-General Talal Ahmed Al Shanqiti, General Director Assistant of the GDRFA, along with other key stakeholders and members of the media.

Emirates Skywards members can also enjoy select benefits of the new Business Class Lounge, depending on their membership tier.

This development follows the opening of Flydubai’s dedicated Business Class check-in area at Terminal 2 earlier in October. The facility provides passengers with a personalized Meet and Assist service, seated check-in, and a Fast Track service through passport control and security lanes.
